Party membership, which was less than 9,000 in the year 2000, today stands at more than 21,096 or 30.7%, and there are now twenty-one elected Republican officials representing constituents within the parish.

Mike Walker will Address Pachyderms of GBR

Mike Walker, Mayor Pro-Tem of East Baton Rouge, will be the featured speaker at the Pachyderms of Greater Baton Rouge meeting on Thursday, May 24th at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be at the Great Wall Chinese Restaurant, 3084 College Drive, Baton Rouge, 70808. (6:30 to 7:00 – Socializing; 7:00 – Meeting)

Walker, who recently announced that he will be seeking the office of Mayor of Baton Rouge in the fall, is currently serving his 3^rd term on the EBR Parish Metropolitan Council.
